Pentax Optio M900

 

Pentax’s Optio M900 camera is fairly cheap which means its range of features is basic. That said, it includes a 12-megapixel resolution, wide-angle 5x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 28-140mm on an old film camera), plus adequate visibility on the rear 2.7in screen that’s used for composing and reviewing pictures (it has no viewfinder). The camera is available in an all-black or burgundy red body.

Pentax Optio H90

 

This pocket camera, with a retro design, is at first underwhelming but it has a good resolution of 12.1 megapixels and a longer-than-average 5x optical zoom lens, the equivalent of 28-140mm on an old film camera.
Keeps a finger resting on the zoom control and there’s the ability to extend the reach to 6.5x using cropping to zoom in on the middle of the picture, which reduces the resolution to seven megapixels.

Pentax Optio S30

Compact 3 Megapixel digital cameras that carries 3X optical zoom lens, Pentax Optio S30 has aluminum body and 1.6” TFT screen. Built-in memory is 11MB and it can be upgraded with the addition of SD card. 2 AA batteries or CR-V3 can be used for providing power supply and the device can record unlimited 320×240 videos at 30fps with sound.

Sliding lens system, 18 modes for capturing pictures and PictBridge compatibility are other main features of the Pentax Optio S30 digital camera. Front of the camera has flash, optical viewfinder, remote sensor, and microphones with a black plastic grip. On the backside are 1.6” TFT screen and buttons for delete, zoom control, function, and play. On top are the shutter release, on and off and mode dial buttons.

Pentax Optio 750Z

An addition in the rank of the 7 Megapixel cameras, the Pentax Optio 750Z comes at a price of around $499. An improvement over the Optio 555; its predecessor; it has 5X optical zoom lens, dual focusing system, VGA movie mode, manual control facilities, and rotating LCD display.

Other features of Pentax Optio 750Z include 32MB secure digital cards, CD ROM, USB cable, and D-L17 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. User can add 256 or 512 MB card for storing more 7 Megapixel images. The battery can last for 245 shots that is quite impressive for such compact cameras though it cannot compete with Sony DSC-P150 that has the capability of taking 320 photos.

Pentax Optio S50

Packing 5 megapixel images along with 3X optical zoom lens, Pentax Optio S50 has a sleek aluminum design. The sliding smc lens from Pentax helps the lens to retract within the camera as and when power is turned off. In addition; the camera has PictBridge connectivity facilities too and therefore images can be printed without the help of a PC.

Handy mode dial is another feature that makes Pentax Optio S50 easy to use and record images in one of the eight different modes it offers. Best part of it is that either on recording or playback mode, the explanations on use of the applications are available on the screen.

Pentax Optio X

A compact digital camera with unique design, Pentax Optio X has two distinct body parts. Left side of the body contains the lens that can be revolved 180 degrees upward as well as 90 degrees downwards. It can also produce images suitable for email. 3x zoom, 5.8-17.4mm that is equivalent with 35.6-107mm lens on 35mm camera. Some of the exception features of the camera are Macro range and Super Macro mode that can enhance the focus from 2.36 to 7.87 inches making the image sharp and clean.

Pentax Optio SV

With striking similarities with most other ultra-compact metal based cameras, Pentax Optio SV comes with one difference. Its SV packs very powerful 5X zoom lens in the ultra thin frame of the camera. Priced at $360, it is basically a ultra zoom camera that can be carried in user’s pocket.

Main features of Pentax Optio SV are 5 megapixel CCD, 1.8” LCD, and a lot of other features that can be manually controlled. 32MB digital card, USB cable, A/V cable, CD ROM, and wrist strap are other features while the D-K18 lithium-ion rechargeable battery is reasonably durable.
